The “What in the World” program was offered statewide and was geared toward students from third through twelfth grades. The targeted grade level varied from school to school and during the program approximately 6-12 students gathered at a table for a 10-minute interval before rotating to the next table or station. Volunteers, from a variety of occupations, used this time to explain their career while stressing the importance of math, science, and/or technology.  Each one of the volunteers brought a mystery object to show the children.

WRA was involved with the “What in the World” program in New Castle County for over five years. The program was a valuable teaching tool which stressed the importance of math, science, and technology. Due to a lack of funding the program ceased in 2012.
